Chocolate can help stop people getting in a bad mood because it contains tryptophan, which can stimulate the "feel-good" chemicals according to new research reported in The West Australian newspaper on June 7, 2008.
In the article it said a study by Cambridge University found that tryptophan, an amino acid, is used by the body to manufacture the chemical serotonin, which carries messages between brain cells to help regulate emotions.
