Can I watch chocolate being made? Our Margaret River and Swan Valley factories have viewing windows where visitors can watch parts of the production process. Production schedules vary, so chocolate-making activity may not be visible throughout every visit.

Does the Perth City Store offer the same experience as the factories? The Perth City Store offers free entry, chocolate tastings and a curated retail range. It does not have a café or production viewing area, so visit Margaret River or the Swan Valley for the complete factory experience.
Is the Swan Valley Chocolate Factory suitable for a day trip from Perth? Yes. Located approximately 20 minutes from Perth CBD, the Swan Valley Factory is an accessible addition to a Swan Valley day trip. Visitors can enjoy tastings, shop for chocolate and dine at the café.

Are prams and wheelchairs welcome? Yes. The Margaret River and Swan Valley locations are fully accessible and welcome visitors using prams and wheelchairs. Perth City is not currently fully accessible due to the age and heritage design of the building with stairs at the access point. Customers with specific access requirements are encouraged to contact the team before visiting.
Can coach or tour groups visit? Coach and tour groups may visit, but groups should contact the relevant location in advance. This allows the team to confirm access, timing and any group requirements.
What is the best time to visit the chocolate factories? Visitor numbers vary throughout the day and may be higher on weekends, public holidays and during school holidays. Visit earlier in the day or on a weekday if you prefer a quieter experience, although quiet periods cannot be guaranteed.
Do your opening hours change during school holidays? Our standard opening hours continue during school holidays, with our Margaret River and Swan Valley factories open 9:00am - 5:00pm daily.
Do I need to book for free chocolate tastings? No. Complimentary chocolate tastings are available without a booking during normal trading hours. Tasting products may vary.
Can I buy Western Australian chocolate gifts online? Yes. You can shop for Western Australian chocolate gifts through The Margaret River Chocolate Company’s online store. The range includes chocolate bars, hampers, truffles, novelties and gifts for different occasions.

Do you sell milk, dark, white and caramel chocolate? Yes. Our range includes products made with milk, dark, 70% dark, white, ruby and caramel chocolate. Available flavours, formats and products vary online and between stores.
What are chocolate Pastelles? Pastelles are small pieces of chocolate designed for tasting, snacking, baking and melting. They are available in selected chocolate varieties and are also used for complimentary tastings at our stores.
Do you sell Australian-themed chocolate gifts? Yes. Our Australiana collection includes chocolate gifts inspired by Australian animals, including numerous endangered animals local to Western Australia.
Can I send chocolate as a gift within Australia? Yes. Our various chocolate gifts can be ordered online and delivered to addresses across Australia. Check the delivery information at checkout before completing your order.
Can I include a message with my chocolate gift? Yes. Leave your personalised message in the order notes during checkout. We will print it onto a custom sticker and attach it to the box for the recipient to open and read.
Do you offer gifts for birthdays, Christmas and other occasions? Yes. We offer chocolate gifts for birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, thank you gifts and other celebrations. Seasonal products are available for a limited time and may sell out.

Online Ordering and Delivery
Where does The Margaret River Chocolate Company deliver? The Margaret River Chocolate Company delivers eligible online orders within Australia. Availability may depend on the destination, product and delivery service.
How much does chocolate delivery cost? Delivery costs depend on your order and destination. The available options and final cost will be displayed during checkout before payment.
Can I collect an online order from a store? Yes. Click and collect is available through our online store, with collection options shown at checkout. Product availability varies between locations, so the products available for collection will depend on your selected store. We will notify you when your order is ready to collect.
How can I track my chocolate order? Our online store uses Shop App and AusPost tracking, with tracking details sent to the email addressand/or phone number that has been used when placing the order (if provided). Check your junk folder or contact our team with your order number if you have not received them.
What happens if no one is available to receive the delivery? Delivery procedures depend on the carrier and selected service. The parcel may be left in a safe place, redirected or taken to a collection point. Review the tracking information for the latest instructions.
Do you offer international delivery? No. We currently deliver within Australia only and do not offer international shipping.

How can I find chocolate that meets my dietary requirements? Use the dietary filters in our online store as a general guide and review the ingredient and allergen information for each product. We cannot guarantee that these filters are completely accurate or current, as recipes and ingredients may change. Do your products contain common allergens? Some products contain or may come into contact with common allergens, including milk, gluten, soy and nuts. Always check the packaging and current product information before consumption.
Are products made in an environment that handles nuts? Yes. Nuts are handled within our production and food-service environments, so cross-contact may occur. Customers with a nut allergy should check the individual product information and contact our team before purchasing.
Do you offer dairy-free chocolate? We offer a specifically labelled Vegan 160g Chocolate Bar. Some dark chocolate products may not contain dairy as an ingredient but can contain traces of milk. Always check the current product label before purchasing.
Is your chocolate suitable for coeliacs? With the exception of our Pastelles, all products may contain traces of gluten because they are made in the same environment and using the same equipment as products containing gluten. Customers with coeliac disease should always review the ingredient and allergen information on the product packaging before consumption.

Can café staff accommodate dietary requirements? Our café teams will try to help customers identify available options. However, food is prepared in environments where allergens are handled, so we cannot guarantee that cross-contact will not occur. Tell the team about your requirements before ordering.
Chocolate-Making Classes
Where are chocolate-making classes held? Chocolate-making classes are offered at selected times at our Margaret River and Swan Valley factories. Check the Chocolate Making Classes page for current locations and session availability.
What happens during a chocolate-making class? Participants are guided through a hands-on chocolate-making experience led by the MRCC team. Activities vary by class, so review the individual session description before booking.
How long does a chocolate-making class run? Each Junior Chocolatier Class runs for approximately one hour.
Can adults attend Junior Chocolatier Classes? Yes. Although our Junior Chocolatier Classes are designed for younger participants, adults are also welcome to book and take part. Each participating adult requires their own ticket.
Can young children participate in
Chocolatier Masterclass sessions? Younger children (under 6) are welcome
when accompanied by a paying parent/guardian. Please note that both child and parent/guardian will need a ticket each to attend, as they will both be in the production facility.
Can I book a private chocolate-making class? Private sessions may be available depending on the location, group size and schedule. Contact the team with your preferred date, location and number of participants.
What happens if my class does not reach the minimum number of participants? A minimum number of participants may be required for a class to proceed. If MRCC cancels a session, affected customers will be offered the options available under the current booking terms.
Can I change or cancel a class booking? Changes, cancellations and refunds are subject to the terms applying to your booked class. Review the current cancellation policy or contact the team as soon as possible with your booking details.
Can I observe the chocolate class from inside the operational area? Due to space constraints in our operational production facility, spectators are welcome to observe from our
viewing window based in our Showroom.
Do you accept Companion Cards? Yes, we recognise and accept Companion Cards, when participants are accompanied by a paying support worker.
Margaret River Factory
Is there a chocolate factory in Margaret River? Yes. The Margaret River Chocolate Company’s original factory is located in Metricup, within the Margaret River region. It offers free entry, chocolate tastings, a café, a showroom and production viewing windows.
